One of the most prominent tourist spots of Indore, and the absolute pinnacle of the Holkar era architecture, the Rajwada Palace of Indore is a 7-storey structure erected almost two centuries ago, around 1766. Since then, the structure has witnessed major changes, and now, the renovation is nearly complete.
After multiple delays in the completion of the reconditioning work, the palace is finally all set to re-display its authentic charm from the month of December.
Reportedly, the majority of the work on the refurbishing of the palace has already been completed. Only the touch-up job and a few other tasks including the plaster and electrification work in a few parts of the palace remain, which will most likely be done within a month.
Furthermore, the main gate of the Rajwada Palace was opened on this Sunday, along with this the iron pipes that were installed for the construction work have also been removed.
This comes as a bid to improve upon the tourism spots in town. This is a cornerstone of Indore's essence, and it is being brought back to it's former glory.
