After a number of surveys and meetings conducted by experts from the Town and Country Planning (T&CP) Department, the Indore Master Plan 2035 has finally taken shape. Exploring numerous opportunities in the field of green development, mixed land use, road development and Mega City formation are some of the key pointers around which the plan will be constructed.
Reportedly, a special drive will be conducted on August 24 with an aim to get the public to participate in the formation of this Master Plan 2035. The drive is aimed at making citizens aware of how the plan will take shape and what key areas will be, around which the plan will revolve.
Keeping a holistic approach in the mind, Indore Development Authority released a 17-point plan to develop the Master Plan 2035. These pointers will act as the foundation of how the city will look by 2035. Advancing green infrastructure, sustainable techniques, planned development, formation of Metropolitan Authority and vertical development approach, and ensuring uniform development of the city are the key areas of development that the plan looks into.

The formation of an expert committee will be prioritised for an insightful and full-proof plan.
The provision of smart land use should be explored.
Regularization of more than 650 colonies and settlements should be promoted.

By 2050, Indore as a Mega City will include small and large towns under a 60 to 80 km diameter.
