Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya’s (DAVV) plan to have a medical wing is finally taking shape. As per the reports, the new paramedical department will be established under the auspecies of the AYUSH department, offering reali life onground medical training to the students.
Reportedly, in 2001, a land of 50 acres at Bada Banagarda was allotted to the college by the District Administration for setting up of a medical wing. However, due to a delayed action plan and registration process, the land was taken back last year.
In order to further the prospects of setting up a paramedical wing, an area of 13 acres was allocated this year by the District Administration at a different location. Since the completion of the new department will likely take time, the varsity has decided to start the paramedical courses with limited resources at the current building.
