The cleanest city of India, Indore, is on its way towards achieving the greenest status too, as it undertakes a new city forest project. Slated to be developed at the Devguradia hill in Indore, under the Indian City Forest scheme of the government of India, the artificial ecosystem will be made into a recreational spot. A budget of 58 lakhs has been approved by the government to implement the first phase of the project.

Member of Parliament from Indore Shankar Lalwani confirmed the news, adding that the Indore city forest will cover some 100 hectares of land and will conduct activities like trekking for the fitness enthusiasts. A nutrition garden and an Ayurvedic park are also expected to stand here, besides a proper garbage management system and around 20 theme parks.
