Vehicle drivers in Indore have started using the city's first solar-powered public EV charging station, which is the first of its kind in Madhya Pradesh. Eight e-vehicles, including six electric rickshaws and two two-wheelers, arrived at the station and were able to recharge their vehicles after understanding the operational process. On the first day of operation, the vehicle owners expressed their satisfaction with the service.
AICTSL (Atal Indore City Transport Service Ltd) is dedicatedly focused on adopting eco-friendly energy solutions to contribute to environmental preservation. The first phase of the project involved the transformation of diesel powered vehicles into CNG. The second phase focused on the deployment of an 80-strong fleet of electric buses on BRTS lines and other routes. The third stage included the provision of facilities for smaller vehicle drivers. As a result, charging was available on Sunday at the designated location.
