On Monday, night-time lows below 10 degrees Celsius occurred for the second straight day, causing Indore to experience its second coldest day of the season. A 3-degree drop in temperature occurred during the day, with daytime highs of 23.8 degrees and a low of 9.6 degrees, both below average. In the morning, it was 13.4 degrees, by 5:30 pm, it was 21 degrees. While Dhar, Khandwa, and Khargone recorded temperatures of 8.1, 9.4, and 9.2 degrees, respectively, Ratlam and Ujjain reported the coldest night in the region, with a bone-chilling low of 7 degrees.
With cold northerly winds predicted to maintain similar temperatures for the next two days, the Meteorological Department predicts another chilly day for Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, and Khargone on Tuesday. Even though Tuesday might be chilly in some areas of the Indore division, an IMD Bhopal circle meteorologist stated that after January 25, temperatures will rise because of another western disturbance. Since Sunday, the temperature has not risen above 10 degrees for the first time this season.
