Over the last three months, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has acquired 854 hectares of land parcels in Indore, Mandsaur and Jhabua. As per the reports, the MPIDC has also applied to transfer the land to the respective district administrations. With an aim to expand and establish new units, the land will be further transfered to the industries by the concerned District Administration.

Undeveloped land banks to attract investments from various industries

Undeveloped land in these areas will encourage industries to invest and set up factories, processing units, and other facilities. This, in turn, will create employment opportunities for locals and outsiders alike. The received land includes 21.6 hectares in Jhabus, 200.5 hectares in Mandsaur, and 362.5 hectares in Badnawar. In last one year, a total of 3000 hectares of undeveloped land from areas like, Ratlam, Neemuch, Dhar, Ujjain, etc is added to the lot.

Officials also shared that some industries have already shown in some of these locations. With the Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy in effect, it is likely that more and more industries will try to grab these vacant parcels of land.

Additionally, the corporation is also attempting to acquire 9000 acres of land along the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This land will also be dedicated to industrial development in the coming future. Identification of suitable locations along the expressway is still in progress.
