In a bid to spread awareness about the provisions of India's foreign trade policy among students and faculty members, a one-day seminar was held this Saturday at the School of Commerce in Indore's Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV).

The recently implemented foreign trade policy of India, effective since April 1, 2023, aims to enhance India's integration into the global value chains and establish India as a prominent export hub.

Renowned economist shared insights on FTP with student during the session

Reportedly, the seminar held at DAVV reportedly featured a keynote address by renowned economist Prof. Jayanit Lal Bhandari, who discussed the key provisions of the policy. Additionally, CA Ghanshyam Singh informed the students about scenarios related to international trade and the Indian currency.

India's foreign trade policy 2023 lays special emphasis on the creation of e-commerce export hubs in several districts. These hubs would act as centres for favourable business infrastructure. In addition, these hubs would provide the necessary infrastructure for exports.
