A lot is happening in Indore in January next year. From the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD) Conference on Jan 8-10, to the much awaited Global Investors’ Summit (GIS-2023) on Jan 11-12, the Madhya Pradesh city has been bedecked in all it's glory.
With the aforementioned forthcoming programmes in the beginning of 2023, efforts are underway for the city's beautification, along with the security arrangements being tightened. More than 5,000 people are slated to participate in the 5-day mega affair.
Reportedly, an additional 3,500 policemen have been deployed to notch up the security arrangements in Indore. Some 3,000 CCTVs will also be installed on major routes to ensure maximum monitoring and safety of the guests, ahead of NRI Day and Global Investors’ Summit in Indore.
The security and amenities at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport are also expected to be boosted. A special gate has been in the plans to ensure smooth commute of more than 4,000 NRIs likely to participate in the 17th Indian Diaspora Convention. With the decorum and cleanliness of the city's airport being maintained, the roads leading there will be broadened, too.
In the latest developments, a new feature on CitizenCOP mobile application has been launched by the name of 'Know Your Cop'. Through this, citizens could scan QR codes available at various locations. This will enable them to locate the nearby police station, details of police station in-charges, and more, if any problem arises. Police officers will also be able to mark their attendance during a patrol on the app.
All set to welcome guests lavishly, the clean city Indore is making sure the 5-day extravaganza goes perfectly. Inspections have been carried out throughout the city to make certain of utmost maintenance and security. Moreover, the city walls have been painted in attractive art-work to embellish Indore.
