Spread across 255 acres in Sagour Village on AB Road, Indore is planning to build an advanced Multi-Model Logistic Park (MMLP) soon. On June 8, Union ministry of Road Transport and Highways announced that this facility will be developed at the cost of ₹900 crore.

As per officials, the park will be developed under PM Gati Shakti Yojna, and will aim at transportation of goods through land, water and air routes in the minimum time and damage.

Park to be built in 3 phases

A logistics park is an industrial area specifically designed for storage, management, distribution and transportation of various goods.

Indore's MMLP will be 2 km long and 1 km wide, and it will be built in 3 phases by GR Infra Limited. To provide rail connectivity to the park, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited will assemble a railway line that is 6 km long. As per reports, the logistic park will be put together by a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) wherein the partners are NHMNL, MPIDC and RVNL.

Construction of the park is expected to start by September, next year.
