Indore has turned windy and colder of late, with the max temperature being 27°C and lowest being 14.6°C on Wednesday. The mercury dropped by almost four degrees — a consequence of downpour in Rajasthan — resulting in pleasant weather conditions.
The city has been witnessing strong winds (at 15km/hr) since Wednesday morning, eliminating the need to use ACs and even fans. At the same time, while it is slightly warmer today, the sun wasn't visible until late in the morning.
The Indore weather has been predicted to remain cool for the coming few days, after which mercury will gradually rise. With minimum temperature at 12°C and maximum hovering around 28°C, Indore will foreseeably experience wind gusts at 17 km/hr on Thursday.
As per the Meteorological Department, due to the south-westerly wind direction, while it wasn't very cold in the first week of February, the effect of snowfall in certain areas of North India and rains in Rajasthan has been observed in Madhya Pradesh.
