To ease passenger rush, 14 Summer Special Trains to run from Indore to Pune

The first summer special train will depart from Indore on May 18, at 11:00 AM.

Summer vacations are upon us. Following which, Central Railways is all set to run an additional 14 special trains between Indore and Pune to cater to the extra rush of passengers. 

The first Summer Special train will depart from Indore on May 18, at 11:00 AM. Meanwhile, from Pune it will depart on May 19, at 05:10 AM. The trains will make only 7 trips each.

Summer special trains to run for a month and half 

The Indore-Pune special trains will constitute 1 first class AC coach, 2 AC-3 tier coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches, 4 general second class coaches and 2 guards brake vans. The details of the special trains are as follows:

Train no. 09223 Summer Special from Pune to Indore (7 trips):

  • Departure Time: 05:10 AM

  • Arrival Time: 11:50 PM (same day)

  • Running day: Every Friday

Train no. 09224 Summer Special from Indore to Pune (7 trips):

  • Departure Time: 11:00 AM

  • Arrival Time: 03:10 AM (next day)

  • Running day: Every Thursday

On it’s long journey, the trains will halt at Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara Jn, Godhra, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain and Dewas. Bookings for Train no. 09323/4 will begin at all computerised reservation centres and website from May 13.
