Amid the perils of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rajasthan has emerged as the fourth state in India to administer the anti-virus jab to over 2 crore people. With this rapid vaccination strategy and the high target achievement rate, around 21.5% of the state's population have been given the first jab, while 4.3% are completely immunised with both doses. Earlier, only Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat had achieved the 'over 2 crore inoculation feat' in the country.

On this occasion, state's Health Minister congratulated the vaccination officers and employees who propelled the administration of 2 crore vaccination doses. He further urged the immunity-drive personnel to work with the same zeal, dedication and sincerity in the future as well. The achievement has bolstered the state's vaccination programme to quickly attain the inoculation target.
Rajasthan clocked in the 2-crore milestone inoculation coverage till Wednesday afternoon, given an active vaccination programme across various categories of eligible beneficiaries. People's enthusiasm to take the anti-COVID jab without any hesitancy has favoured the achievement of this target. Streamlined with the public's dynamic eagerness for the jab, the state has developed a capacity to administer nearly 7 lakh jabs in a day.

It may be noted here that state capital Jaipur is leading the overall vaccination programme in the state with 22,43,976 shots of the anti-COVID vaccine. The overall immunity campaign is being conducted under immense care, limiting the wastage to only 0.8% in the state. Continuous efforts are being made to bring down this tally to absolute zero, the Health Minister informed. Reportedly, the state's cautiously generating receipt of doses with each jab to monitor the vaccination progress and wastage.
