Easing commute between Jaipur and Bhopal, a special train equipped with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) is all set to be deployed on this route connecting the two cities from today onwards. This train is a part of an initiative by the Indian Railways, wherein the standard ICF rakes of the locomotives are being gradually replaced with new LHB coaches. As per reports, the Jaipur-Bhopal-Jaipur special train (09711/12) will be operational with all new LHB rakes, enhancing travel between the two state capitals.

As per reports, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railways informed that the train equipped with LHB coaches will undertake its maiden journey from Jaipur on September 23. On the other hand, the train from Bhopal will start its run on September 24. Reportedly, the LHB coaches in the train will consist of AC-second class, AC-third class, second sleeper class, second chair car and power cars. While the total count of coaches will go up, the number of available seats will also inflate.
According to reports, the lightweight LHB coaches can travel at a greater speed, as compared to the conventional ICF coaches. The ICF units can operate at a maximum speed of 110 Km/hr while the new LHB rakes can function at a maximum allowed speed of nearly 160 Km/hr, reportedly.

Reportedly, the railway authorities had also decided to install an extra second class sleeper coach in Jaipur-Lucknow(Gomti Nagar)-Jaipur train. The train began operations with an additional rake from Jaipur on September 21 and the revamped vehicle took its maiden run from Lucknow on September 22.
