For the first time in over three months, Jaipur witnessed the number of daily COVID cases reaching double digits yesterday. With 10 new cases detected in Jaipur in the last 24 hours, the tally of active COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan has reached a total of 61 cases now. Apart from this, 7 fresh cases of this viral disease were reported in Barmer, Ajmer and Jodhpur as well.

Besides Jaipur, four new cases were registered in Barmer, while 2 fresh cases were detected in Ajmer yesterday. Additionally, Jodhpur reported a single case as well, taking the total number of new infections in the state to a total of 17 cases.
As schools and colleges in Jaipur are expected to restart offline classes with 100% occupancy from Monday, the rise in the number of daily infections has become a cause of concern for all. Moreover, in line with the existing guidelines, the upcoming T20I cricket series between India and New Zealand scheduled on November 17 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is also allowed at 100% capacity.

Reportedly, 83% of the entire eligible population of the state has received the first dose of vaccination against COVID. Besides, according to the official data, around 48.9% of beneficiaries are fully vaccinated in Rajasthan as of now.
The authorities are undertaking various measures to boost the current inoculation drive in the state. Under the ambit of a special action plan, the number of vaccination camps will be increased in the districts that showcase low rate of vaccination. To counter the rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the state, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan has urged people to continue following all the COVID-mandated protocols.
