As per reports, the institute claimed that the paint is not only environment-friendly and non-toxic but it also carries anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, making it absolutely unique. The institute has developed two varieties of Khadi Prakritik paints using the cow-dung pulp as the main constituent and adding it to other chemicals. Reportedly, the director of the institute assured that the paints have been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards.

Besides being cost-effective, the distemper and emulsion are available at lower retail rates compared to their counterparts in the market. This will definitely help them in occupying a larger section in the market soon.

The director of the institute affirmed that the products have been tested for their properties by many acclaimed laboratories including National Test House, Ghaziabad, Shri Ram Institute of Industrial Research, Delhi and National Test House, Mumbai. He added that the technology would be offered to the interested players in the MSME sector soon.

This lastest invention would propel the local industry giving rise to new employment opportunities in addition to ensuring higher incomes for farmers/gaushala owners. Anticipations suggest that the products shall bring an increment of ₹ 30,000 in the yearly incomes of farmers/gaushala owners. Also, every production centre with a capacity of 500 litres per day may provide employment to about 10 people. Not just this, one of the most significant contributions of the innovation is the wider recognition of cow-dung as a raw material. Given a high number of benefits, the paints attempt to revolutionize the local and village industry.
