Adding a new feather to its cap, Jaipur International Airport has secured the first rank nationally, in the second-quarter survey conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI). Besides, the facility has also been successful in achieving the 51st position at the global level. Reportedly, ACI is an international non-profit organisation of Airport Operators on Airport Service Quality (ASQ), which assesses the performance of the premium centres based on a list of more than 30 factors.

Overjoyed with the latest feat, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials have asked the employees to assure greater efforts and efficiency so that global rankings can be improved. Notably, Goa had achieved the first position in the first quarter survey and Jaipur was placed on the second spot. As per reports, Jaipur airport has outperformed all other centres which are administered by the Airports Authority of India.

Reportedly, the subsequent positions till rank 13 are occupied by Guwahati, Pune, Chennai, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Goa, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Vizag, Coimbatore, and Srinagar. As per reports, the survey analyses the services available at the airport across a range of parameters. This includes ground transportation facilities present at the airport, parking services, availability for baggage carts and trolleys, waiting times, efficiency and behaviour of the airport staff.
Besides, the display systems safety and security, presence of food courts and ATM centres amongst other things are also checked. The comprehensive analysis allows the airports to gauge their performance, in comparison to the other facilities. Thereby, the officials are aided with streamlined plans to improve their services.
