As the pandemic situation in the district shows flickering signs of hope, the Jaipur administration is implementing a long list of measures to control the spread of contamination. As per the latest developments, movable OPD vehicles are being deployed to conduct Rapid Antigen Tests of citizens residing in rural areas of the city. Reportedly, 22 vans of the city's Health Department will be used for this purpose.

After causing unparalleled havoc for the city dwellers, the COVID virus is now seeping into the rural areas and it is important to block the contamination as soon as possible. The current move of the city administration is a step in a direction, to ensure that rural residents stand protected against the unchecked spread. According to reports, 10 villages shall be covered daily under this initiative and all individuals will influence like symptoms will be tested.
If a person tests positive, necessary medicines and care will be provided to him. Through quick interventions, it will be assured that the said individual doesn't turn into a source of umpteen infections. Additionally, 20 community health centres in the city will be converted into COVID care centres, as stated by reports. Further, the state government has said that biomedical engineers will be stationed in COVID centres to manage and look after the oxygen supply via dedicated monitors.

Jaipur city authorities have also implemented door-to-door inspection drives to check people with related symptoms. As a part of this surveillance, it is being ensured that people with ILI symptoms get the medicine packets and necessary precautionary advice. With these streamlined schemes, the authorities envision breaking the chain of infections as soon as possible.

Succeeding consecutive dips for three days, 2,588 COVID new infections were marked in Jaipur on Sunday. With an enormous count of 8,432 recoveries, the active caseload recorded a sharp downfall, logging at 43,680. While a cumulative tally of 1,66,552 affected individuals has been registered in the state capital to date, 1,539 of these have succumbed to the deadly contagion. Now, with the marginal reductions in case tally, significant respite can be expected in the upcoming days if the trend continues.
