Rajasthan Board releases formula to calculate class 10 & 12 results; check details here!

Rajasthan State Board has released the formula that will be applied while preparing the results of students of class 10 and 12. The report regarding the same was prepared by a 12 member committee and sent to the Education Minister, which he approved on Wednesday. As stated in the Press Note, class 10 and 12 results will be released within 45 days and students who are giving improvement exams this year or those who have filled private forms, for them Rajasthan Board will conduct exams when the pandemic permits.

The committee assigned to devise this formula, has decided that results will be prepared by evaluating the exams taken by a student in the past two years. For a class 10 student, 45 per cent weightage will be given to class 8 results, 25 per cent weightage will be given to class 9 results and 10 per cent weightage will be given to class 10 exams while preparing the final tally.

Further, the press note released states that the weightage of class 10 results will be decided by a school committee which will include the principal, the class teacher and the subject teacher. This committee will evaluate a child's performance in this academic session, judged through various digital and innovative techniques like- SMILE and SMILE-2, among others. As per the notification released, this can carry a weightage of 20 per cent.

For class 12 students, their class 10 results will be given 40 per cent weightage towards the final percentage and marks scored in class 11 will have 20 per cent weightage. Further, tests taken during the current academic session will also contribute 20 per cent towards the results prepared by the Rajasthan Board.

In respect to practicals, it has been stated that almost 40 per cent of the schools have conducted and marked students on these. Schools that are yet to conduct practicals will be allowed to take online or offline exams for the same, after getting prior permission from the state's Home Department and Health Department.
