The state of Rajasthan has lined up offline exams as its first priority. According to the reports prepared by the committee of the VC of Law University, there are around 6.5 lakh final year students who will appear for the examinations. Arrangements must be made to inoculate these candidates with at least the first jab of the COVID vaccine before the exams, the officials at the meeting underlined.
The government is expected to issue guidelines in this regard soon. It may be noted that the committee submitted its reports and recommendation to the administration around 10 days ago, however, the final decision is yet to be ordained. This draft draws the possibility of three options for the government:
The state's verdict will affect the lives of around 20 lakh university and college students across Rajasthan, including 6.5 final year students, 5.46 UG and PG students and others in private and technical institutes.
As per the Higher Education minister, another meeting will be conducted in this direction in two days. Here, the officials will also discuss the report of the committee and the UGC's favoured method. For this, the state has written to the Grants Commission on Tuesday to attain new guidelines, regarding the conduction of assessments, the Higher and Technical Education Minister informed.
