The Rajasthan government on Friday announced the reopening of schools, gyms and cinemas across all districts amid the lowering scale of the COVID-19 spread. As per reports, the state will implement the unlock from Monday, September 20, onwards, in line with COVID-19 precautions. All provisions, relaxed under this new order, will be open to only those who have received at least one shot of the anti-coronavirus vaccine.

In view of the flattening coronavirus curve, the state of Rajasthan has decided to implement a graded unlock across all schools, from Classes 1 to 8. As planned, physical classes will resume for Classes 6 to 8 from September 20, and from September 29 for those in Classes 1 to 5. Only 50% of the pupil body will be allowed to attend classes in the first phase, read reports, to honour the social distancing norms.
Parents' consent is mandatory for any child to attend offline sessions, read guidelines. No guardian will be forced to send their ward to schools if they hesitate to do so. The system of online classes will continue for such students.

The Rajasthan government has further decided to relax the operations of eateries across the state. As per the new guideline, all restaurants can now open at full capacity from 9 AM to 10 PM. Similarly, cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes are allowed to function at 100% potential from 9 AM to 10 AM, for those who are inoculated, with at least the first COVID jab.
Reportedly, gyms and yoga centres have been permitted to open from 6 AM to 10 PM. Swimming pools will also unlock from September 20. Notably, visitors must have received one shot of the COVID vaccine, at the minimum.

The state Home Department has also issued new guidelines to ordain full reopening of public offices. All offices are allowed to operate at full capacity, with strict implementation of mask and social distancing guidelines.
Hostels of the Tribal Development Department and Social Justice and Empowerment Department are also set to unlock from September 20 and the reopening guidelines will be issued by the respective bodies soon. After September 20, animal fairs are also permitted but with the permission of the Collector concerned.
