Subsequently, the officials have ordered to promote students from class 1-5 on the basis of evaluations made under Smile-1, Smile-2 and the "Aao ghar se sikhe" program. During the lockdown propelled by the COVID pandemic, the state administration had launched an innovative smile project which facilitated the teachers to conduct online classes with the help of YouTube streaming.

These decisions were taken on Thursday after the state witnessed a revived escalation in COVID numbers. Apart from the primary and junior classes, the examination schedules for classes 9 and 10 have already been fixed. Starting from April 6, these tests shall continue for around two weeks concluding on April 22. Post that, the results shall be declared on April 30 and it has been proposed that the new academic session shall commence on May 1.
