With an objective to restore and improve the road infrastructure in the state, the Rajasthan government has decided to fund the road repair project. As per reports, the state administration has sanctioned an amount of around ₹1,000 crores for road repair interventions across the territory. Reportedly, Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater & JMC Heritage will be aided with sums of around ₹12 crore and ₹16 crore, respectively.

According to reports, the Chief Minister had made an announcement in this regard, while laying the budget for the financial year 2021-22. Now, the state authorities have targeted their efforts to start this project in 213 urban local bodies, reportedly. Once the plan is implemented, citizens across the state will be helped with a better road network and enhanced ease of commute.
Usually, road-related works within the municipal limits are led by civic bodies but reports state that the Public Works Department will undertake the measures under the current initiative. After the PWD approves the project approves the project from financial and administrative points of view, the tenders will be requested.

While state capital has received a significant share in the budgetary allotment, it stands below Jodhpur and Kota on this list. As per reports, a sum of ₹50 crores has been assigned for Jodhpur and Kota has received an allocation of around ₹44 crores. Given the widespread scope of the scheme, it can be expected that the entire road network of the state will be refurbished soon.
