What are the changes made for Rajasthan voters? How can one get a disability certificate? Read further to know more.

In order to increase the voter percentage of PwDs, Rajasthan’s election department has made some significant changes in its voter policy. With the new policy in place, voters with a disability will have to add divyang before names on the voters’ list by filling out Form-8 available on the Rajasthan government's election portal.

Additionally, the existing voters can also make these changes on the voters’ list. Reportedly, during general assembly elections, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), having a disability certificate, can now vote through postal ballots. Earlier, voting through postal ballots by PwDs was available during by-elections only.

Postal voting is basically voting where ballot papers are distributed and returned by post, in contrast to electors voting in person at a polling station or via an electronic voting system.
