Remember instagram's new favourite reel song- Chaudhary? The popular Coke Studio song, that continues to be a favourite in our list till date, is the creation of Mame Khan and Amit Trivedi. Apart from Chaudhary, Mame Khan has also given us Bollywood gems like Baanwre from Luck by Chance, Aitbaar from No one killed Jessica, Chakora in Mirziya among others. Hailing from the humble village of Satto in the Jaisalmer district, Mame belongs to the famous 'Manganiyar gharana' of Rajasthan, that uses rare instruments like bowed kamaicha and khartal, enabling the singer to hold on tightly to his roots, even as he explores new horizons.
Dressed in a vibrant pink kurta set, with an embellished navy-blue jacket and donning the traditional Rajasthani turban, Mame looked like the whole of Rajasthan packed in one outfit. It must be noted, that Cannes 75th edition has named India as 'Country of Honour' at the Marche Du Films (Cannes Film Market).
