Civil engineering conclave 'Sankalan' to be held at IIT Kanpur from January 27

A national-level conclave to boost knowledge sharing and innovation.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is all set to host a 2-day conclave on civil engineering. Named 'Sankalan', this conclave at IIT Kanpur will feature a number of talk sessions where experts in the field will share their insights on the role of civil engineering in building a sustainable society.

Organized by the student-run Society of Civil Engineers (SoCE)

Apart from interactive sessions and lectures, the Sankalan'24 will also feature competitions among participants that address practical challenges in the civil engineering domain. These competition will include Optimizing Water Resources for Sustainable Agriculture and Spaghetti Bridge Design Challenge, among others.

All participants will get a chance to compete and showcase their creativity in civil engineering. Furthermore, winners of these competitions will stand a chance of winning up to ₹1 lakh, and even beyond that in some competitions.
