Kanpur reported its first Dengue death this season and the total number of Dengue cases in the city touched 72. The first Dengue death in Kanpur was reported on Sunday, meanwhile, seven people tested positive at Ursala lab in Kanpur on Monday.
Out of a total of 72 dengue cases, 62 were reported in urban areas, whereas only 10 cases were reported in rural areas. As per the Kanpur CMO, preventive measures including fogging and anti-larvae spraying have been initiated in the city.
As of now, the active dengue cases in Kanpur have plunged to 10. Meanwhile, the district health officials have announced an increase in the number of reserved beds for dengue patients in private and government-run facilities.
