Amid rising infection rates in the city, the Kanpur Police administration has successfully established a COVID hospital for the treatment of infected patients. Reportedly, the 16-bed hospital has been set up in a record time of 24 hours, due to the streamlined efforts of the police department. Equipped with all necessary facilities, the centre would not only cater to police officials but also provide care and treatment to the general public.

As per reports, the Uttar Pradesh administration is continuously involved in amplifying measures for curtailing the spread of contamination. Amongst the latest steps, the Chief Minister has asked the district-level authorities to prepare a list of doctors, paramedical staff and security staff. Reportedly, this index would contain the names of individuals who have recovered from the virus and are willing to provide their services for the benefit of the state citizens. These people will be deployed to tackle the crisis in emergency situations when the need arises.

As stated by experts, immunisation is the most important weapon in this battle against the COVID pandemic. Keeping this in view, the Uttar Pradesh administration is initiating multiple measures to extend the coverage of vaccination. Subsequently, the government has placed an order for 1 crore COVID vaccine jabs from the two domestic manufacturers. The upcoming inoculation drives in the state will be fueled by 50 lakh doses of Covaxin and another 50 lakh doses of Covishield.
