Kanpur Weather | Heatwave engulfs city as temperatures surge to 44°C on Monday

IMD has indicated the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds on June 14.

Owing to the ongoing heatwave conditions in the state, the city of Kanpur experienced scorching temperatures on Monday, with the mercury soaring to a maximum of 44.1°C.

The Kanpur weather was greatly affected by intense heat and strong gusts of loo winds. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), these prevailing conditions are expected to persist in the city for the next 48 hours.

Furthermore, Dr. S.N. Pandey, Chief Scientist at IMD, has indicated the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds on June 14. The weather department reports that the minimum temperature has consistently remained at or above 30 degrees over the past three days due to the formation of high-altitude clouds during nighttime.
