Kanpur is set to pioneer elderly care in Uttar Pradesh with the impending launch of the state's inaugural Senior Citizen Care Center. The facility, situated in the vacant space at Tulsi Upvan near Moti Jheel, is rapidly nearing completion, aiming for a February inauguration. Developed by the Municipal Corporation, the center focuses on promoting holistic well-being for seniors.

Boasting a capacity for 30 beds, the center will offer diverse activities to keep residents active and fit. Multipurpose amenities, including a cafeteria, gym, yoga classes, and a library, will enhance the overall experience. Municipal Commissioner affirmed that this center marks a significant milestone, being Uttar Pradesh's first dedicated senior citizen care facility.
