Meanwhile, the state government has issued a warning regarding COVID safety and precautions to persist the fast pace pandemic recovery here. In an official statement, the state has advised people to not be careless as the risk of contracting the virus still exists. This order also attributes the state's COVID arrest to the trace, test and treat strategy of the administration. The pandemic control was further enabled by partial corona curfew and aggressive vaccination, the statement added.
This draws attention to yet another remarkable feat of the state. Uttar Pradesh has completed the administration of about 9.90 crore vaccination jabs, the highest in India. About 8.09 people have so far taken the first jab, while the second dose coverage stands at 8%, with over 1.80 crore shots.
