Uttar Pradesh is all set to welcome back 40 paramedical centres of the health department which have been lying shut for past 30 years. With this, the state will also see the construction of new nursing schools and training centres in the coming months.
The 40 paramedical training centres, shut down since 1989, aim to provide better training and infrastructure facilities to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM). The faculty of these centres will be completely equipped to conduct the training.
The number of seats in nursing courses like ANM, GNM, B Sc, PB Bsc (N) and MSc in the state have also increased.
The state government has also announced the opening of at least nine nursing schools from July 15, and 35 ANM training centres from August this year. The government spokesperson claimed that Uttar Pradesh will eventually emerge as the largest hub for nursing centres once the said announcements are implemented.
“The faculty should be good enough to take full care of the training. Make sure arrangements are made for their training in the Medical College and District Hospital,” stated the UP Chief Minister.
The soon-to-be developed and re-operated training centres are expected to improve health-care facilities and services in Uttar Pradesh. They aim to equip and train paramedical workers in a more efficient manner. More opportunities and better infrastructure will also be provided to health-care workers, thereby, leading to the betterment of medical care in the state.
