74th Republic Day in Lucknow: Spectators to enjoy live telecast of parade on LED screens

The parade route will be inspected in order to ensure safe and smooth movement.

The city of Nawabs will join in the fervour of marking India's 74th Republic Day blooming in patriotic colours and glorious celebrations. Preparations are in full swing to bedeck Lucknow in grandeur, with cultural programmes running throughout the city and a live telecast of the same on the LED screen in front of the Vidhan Sabha.

LEDs will also be installed in numerous areas like Charbagh Ravindralay, Hazratganj Square, etc, along with LED vans on the move in every nook and corner of the city to let spectators watch and enjoy the live show of the parade and the ensuing cultural programmes.

Inspection of the parade route

In view of the same, the Public Works Department and Electricity Department have also been instructed by the authorities to inspect the parade route in order to ensure safe and smooth movement on the 74th Republic Day in Lucknow.

The parade route, running through Charbagh Ravindralay, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Smriti Vatika, Rana Pratap Tiraha, Burlington Crossroads, Royal Hotel, will cross Hazratganj's Vidhan Bhawan and see special programmes organised between January 22-27.

All official buildings, gleaming in the colours of the Indian Flag, will commemorate the date, January 26, 1950, when the Constitution of India came into effect, making the nation a republic, separate from the British rule.
