In the highest spike in a day for 2023, a total of 8 fresh Covid cases in Lucknow were reported on Wednesday, March 22. With these new cases, the total number of active cases in Lucknow has reached 18. At the same time, India recorded 1,400 fresh cases on March 22, the highest spike in 140 days.
As per Lucknow health officials, out of the 8 new Covid cases, two have come up in Chinhat, one in Kaiserbagh, two in Aliganj and three in Tudiyaganj. In a bid to avoid a steep increase in Covid cases in Lucknow, health officials have put together 17 rapid response teams spread across different areas of the city.
Furthermore, hospitals in Lucknow have also been alerted by the authorities to arrange for beds, medicine, and staff for Covid duty to cope up with any sudden rise in cases.
