A dedicated centre for treatment of metabolic bone ailments to come up at SGPGIMS Lucknow

Metabolic Bone Diseases (MBDs) commonly occurring in menopausal women and elderly people often go undiagnosed, further leading to multiple complexities in patients. Now, the Department of Biotechnology in SGPGIMS Lucknow will set up a special facility for diagnosing and treating MBDs.

This facility is touted to be the nation's first ever medical centre specializing in particular types of endocrine disorders. This new centre within SGPGIMS will allow detailed diagnosis of rare bone diseases through state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment, including advanced bone histomorphometry for analyzing bone metabolism.
