A delight for birders in Lucknow, Janeshwar Mishra Park to soon flaunt UP's first aviary

The aviary is expected to shelter more than some 50 species of colourful birds.

Unveiling to the Lucknow audience an enormous Jurassic Park soon, the Janeshwar Mishra Park is also set to flaunt the first bird aviary of Uttar Pradesh along with it.

A delight for all the birders and ornithophiles alike, the aviary will shelter more than some 50 species of colourful birds. Here, visitors will not be able to experience the visual treat but also feed the birds. At the same time, experts will also be hired to take care of the birds.

Asian, African & American bird species to adorn Lucknow park

The aviary, to be built at Janeshwar Mishra Park, is budgeted at ₹1.5 crore and its proposal is being prepared. According to the plan, Asian, African and American birds will adorn the place.

These include Macau, Cockatoo Senegal Parrot, Sun Conure, Barraband's Parakeet, Rock Pebbler, Kimson Big, Pink Kurku, Senegal firefinch, Card Blue, Green avadavat. Some of the other names are Northern bobwhite birds, Rose-ringed parakeet, Plum-headed parakeet, Comb duck, among others.

Experts from Karnataka will be called and hired to take care of the Aves. Besides, small nests will also be built for birds in different parts of the city.
