A new park near Sheroes in Lucknow to open for public soon

If you wish to explore a new place in Lucknow, this upcoming park at Gomti Nagar could be it!

Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) plans to open a new park in the city, soon! Slated to open for all from May 23, the green belt behind Taj Hotel in Lucknow will now be developed into a fully-functional park for the city folks. Adding to the city's landscape, this soon to become public park will provide an open recreational space for all.

Park to have state-of-the-art facilities!

According to Akshay Tripathi, Vice-Chairman of LDA, a dedicated zone for kids will be created at the public park. Additionally, the park will also get essential sports-related arrangements like a synthetic track to help budding sportspersons in the city.

Spanning over 14 acres of land, the green belt was initially allotted to (The Indian Hotel Company Limited) Taj Hotel in Lucknow. With the lease of land ending on 16 February 2019, LDA has now decided to convert the area into a public park. To attract people of all ages, state-of-the-art facilities like synthetic jogging track and playing facilities will also be added by the LDA.

While the public will be allowed to enter the park from Monday, the District Administration department will carry out a drone survey before initiating these development works.

If you wish to explore a new place in the city, this park could be it. With entry free for all, the upcoming public park is sure to become one of the most popular hangout spots in the city, soon!

  • 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Timings for Winter (October 16 to February 13)

  • 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
