Three city railway stations, namely Aishbagh, Utratia and Badshahnagar, are in line to undergo a transformative makeover. This new revamp will be carried out under the central government's newly introduced scheme, aiming to provide improved facilities for the convenience of passengers.
The central government has recently introduced the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,' earmarking a comprehensive budget to upgrade a total of 508 stations throughout the country, including the stations in Lucknow.
According to the plans, the Utratia junction will be enhanced with additional passenger facilities, including a circulating area and a train information system.
The upgrade of the Aishbagh Railway Station will involve the construction of contemporary waiting halls and restrooms. Additional features will include escalators, digital clocks, white lights and modern furniture.
Entrance and exit points will also be revamped at the Badshahnagar Railway station. The work here will be followed by boundary wall construction, interlocking on the circulating area and platforms and the addition of sheds. Notable amenities like restrooms, air-conditioned waiting halls and facade lighting will also be added to amp up the railway station.
Furthermore, a 12-meter wide foot overbridge will be erected, accompanied by the installation of three lifts, two escalators, coach guidance displays, train information display boards, and digital clocks.
