Be part of UP’s mission to unfurl 4.75 crore flags for 'Har Ghar Tiranga'

Let Lucknow be painted in the shades of the tricolour.

Independence Day always brings with it a tinge of nostalgia. Be it binging on patriotic movies, buying flags, or participating in the hoisting ceremonies in the neighbourhood. Every year, the entire city is painted in the shades of the tricolour, filling us with a sense of pride.

This time around too, UP is all set to beat its last year's record of unfurling the highest number of flags. So, folks! Get ready to participate and contribute towards helping your city and state reach the ambitious target of unfurling 4.75 crore Indian flags, between August 13 and August 15.

Self-help groups to boost manufacturing of flags

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, government buildings, residential buildings, commercial establishments, schools, colleges, and hospitals in the state will be roped in to participate.

Both in 2022 and 2023, a little over 4.5 crore flags were unfurled across the state. This year, the aim is to register up to 10% increase in the number of flags hoisted. In order to keep up with the demand, several self-help groups have also been roped up for the manufacturing process.
