The tournament will feature 6 teams that will be owned by top corporate houses in the city. These teams will play against one another in a double round-robin format, featuring a total of 34 promising twenty-20 matches.

All you need to know about the Lucknow Premier League:

  • All the teams at the tournament will feature young players who play for cricket clubs and academies in Lucknow.

  • This means that young CAL-registered players will get the opportunity to shine at a massive stage, in one of the state's oldest cricket stadiums.

  • As for the formation of teams, bidding by corporate houses will be conducted to determine the owners, which will be followed by a player draft.

  • Lucknow Premier League will feature both Day and Day/Night matches and plans are underway to broadcast all matches on popular TV channels and OTT platforms.

  • All the matches will be played at the KD Singh Babu Stadium.

Speaking to Knocksense Lucknow, Akash Upadhyay (CEO, Quad Sports) who is one of the tournament's promoters, said, "Lucknow Premier League offers a massive opportunity to young players of the city to shine on a stage where all the eyeballs are.
