Food lovers of the city, especially fans of Old Lucknow classics, listen up! With FSDA's new measures, in coordination with Nagar Nigam, clean and hygienic street food stalls are expected to sprout in the Hussainabad Heritage Zone. This engulfs the stretch from the Rumi Darwaza to the Hussainabad Gate.

While Rumi Darwaza remains in the renovation process, FSDA has plans to develop a street food hub at the iconic historical location. The efforts aim to provide Lucknowites with clean and healthy food.

Preserving the rich cultural heritage of Lucknow

In a recent district level meeting of FSDA, ADM City East Amit Kumar has directed officers to begin the process. Besides Rumi Darwaza, Moti Jheel near Malviya Nagar will also see the development of this street food hub.

While an active and thriving street food lane exists in the heritage zone, the hygiene factor of the provisions do remain in question. With this step being implemented, the food quality is slated to improve in the historical monument area, in turn, preserving and restoring the rich cultural heritage of the place.
