Lucknow is all set to host the highly anticipated Diljit Dosanjh mega concert tomorrow at Ekana International Football Stadium. With a capacity of 12,000 fans, the event is expected to create heavy traffic around Ekana Sports City, including Shaheed Path, Sushant Golf City, Gomti Nagar Extension, and Arjunganj.
To manage the congestion, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate has issued a detailed traffic plan, including vehicle guidelines and parking arrangements. These measures will be in effect on November 22, from 3 PM to 2 AM. Here's the comprehensive list:
All commercial vehicles (both large and small) will be restricted on Shaheed Path during the event.
No restrictions will be imposed on private vehicles or rented taxis/cars. Vehicles coming from Sultanpur Road will be diverted at Amul Trisection. Vehicles from the Cantt area will be diverted at Katayi Pul of Sadar area.
City buses will operate during the concert but will not be allowed to stop between Husadia and Sushant Golf City on Shaheed Path. They will travel along the right side of the road.
E-rickshaws and Auto-rickshaws will be prohibited on Shaheed Path and the service road during the event. These vehicles coming from Arjunganj will divert left from Ahimamau, then proceed towards Gomtinagar via G-20 Road.
Ola, Uber, and other rented vehicles will not pick up or drop passengers between Husariya and Sushant Golf City on Shaheed Path. Vehicles coming from the airport will drop passengers before Ahimamau.
Private Vehicles with Passes: Vehicles with passes will follow the route from Ahimamau to HCL, parking in designated areas near Water Tank Chauraha and Palassio Mall.
Private Vehicles without Passes: Vehicles without passes will follow the same route. Parking will be available at Palassio Mall for early arrivals. Once full, additional parking will be provided near Water Tank Chauraha.
Two-Wheelers: Two-wheelers will park in designated areas behind Palassio Mall, travelling via Ahimamau and HCL Trisection.
Due to anticipated traffic congestion on Shaheed Path and Arjunganj, readers are advised to avoid these routes unless absolutely necessary. For assistance, the traffic police department has provided a helpline number: 9454405155.
