DM converts Lucknow's Haj House into Covid Care Centre

Covid Care facility set up in Lucknow for asymptomatic patients

In the wake of increasing number of coronavirus cases in the Lucknow, the city's District Magistrate issued an order to convert the Haj House at Sarojni Nagar into a Covid care centre.

Lucknow's battle against coronavirus

The Haj House provides accommodation to the Haj (pilgrimage) bound people who stay there before they commence their journey. However, in order to strengthen the city's defense against the coronavirus, the DM of Lucknow released instructions to convert this facility into a Covid care centre for asymptomatic patients.

After inspecting the complex himself, the DM directed the officials to develop the facility into a Covid care centre with a capacity of 1000 beds for the care and treatment of asymptomatic patients in the city.

The Zonal Officer has been made responsible to administer the overall cleanliness and hygiene at the centre. The DM has also instructed to provide nutritious meals to the people admitted here for a quick recovery.
