Lucknow and many other cities in UP felt tremors at around 1:57 AM on Wednesday. While the night owls of the city were instantly able to feel the jolt, the shock was even strong enough to shake some people out of their sleep.

The earthquake of 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Nepal, which had its epicentre 90 km Southeast of Pithoragarh and 10 km below the surface. This caused tremors in parts of UP, Uttarakhand and Delhi-NCR.

National Ceter for Seismology shared the report

Reportedly, two moderate earthquakes were also felt in Nepal which followed the severe one, and had the same epicentre. Furthermore, the Pithoragarh region was continuously experiencing minor earthquakes since the past few days.

Folks of Lucknow shared their experiences on Twitter, posting videos of people rushing out of their homes and neighbours gathering in groups due to the earthquake shock.

One of the videos showed footage from the CCTV camera which appears to be shaking due to the tremours.
