The airport authority in Lucknow is executing multiple measures to provide a comfortable and trouble-free entry to the passengers in the station premises. As per the latest developments, air travellers will not be required to show their identity proof and boarding pass for getting entry into the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport. Easing this process, the authorities have planned to use a face recognition system that would permit entry to the commuters through face identification.

Face recognition system to create a database of passengers' details

As per the current proposals, individuals will have to get themselves registered using their Adhaar card number, PAN number or any other ID approved by the government. After the registration is complete, all the details of the commuter shall be securely recorded in a centralised database. With the availability of this information, all the necessary details about the passenger shall reach the airport administration, right when a flight ticket is booked. Currently, people have to show their identity card and boarding pass to the Central Industrial Security Force staff at the airport entry.

Move to facilitate a hassle-free entry into the airport complex

During the rush hour, the airport gates are a witness to long queues of commuters who have to wait for lengthened intervals of time to be permitted entry. Additionally, individuals have to plan their travel away ahead of the actual departure given this time lag and the long check-in process. Considering multiple dimensions of the current situation, the airport authorities have decided to deploy the new method. Once the new technology is introduced, passengers can expect a hassle-free entry inside the airport complex. Earlier, the government had also permitted m-Aadhaar as a valid proof besides the physical identification cards.
