Heavy rain in Lucknow causes severe waterlogging; Vikas Nagar road caves in again, after downpour

Bouts of intense rainfall to lash the city this week, as well.

Monsoon in Lucknow has finally brought about relief to the residents after weeks of excessive heat. But the city's preparedness for heavy rainfall has come into question after severe waterlogging in areas like Kalyanpur and alongside Shaheed Path.

Furthermore, the waterlogging situation was the same at Charbagh Railway Station with people struggling to enter and exit the station. Similarly, the Badshah Nagar Railway Station also suffered due to the heavy rain, as a video emerged showing water leaking from its roof.

Road in Vikas Nagar caves AGAIN!

Apart from the waterlogging in different areas of the city, a road in Vikas Nagar's Sector 8 also caved in on Sunday, after heavy rainfall. Notably, this was the second time in four months that a road in that very locality has collapsed due to a downpour, as the same also happened back in March.
