Improving Lucknow's lush-green milieu, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Park to be spruced up soon

With an open space reserved for yoga, the park will see its jogging tracks repaired, sanitation maintained, construction of more toilets, etc.

A recent inspection around lanes of Lucknow has put into motion another project of revamping the city's Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Park. The decision was taken by Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob who passed directions around the same.

The Lohia Park — centre for joggers, yoga enthusiasts, picknickers, peace seekers, alike — will be soon spruced up by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC).

Beautifying the 76-acre park

Improvement will be brought about in the form of replacing garbage bins with new bins, maintaining sanitation, cleaning of clogged drains nearby, along with horticulture development. Efforts will also be put into beautifying the 76-acre park further.

Moreover, unnecessary railings and hoardings might be removed to create more space. Along with primping up the cafeteria here, an open space for yoga will be reserved for fitness enthusiasts. Here, jogging tracks will also be repaired and toilets will be constructed for the convenience of visitors.
