All set to commence operations from March 31, Lucknow Airport's new terminal flaunts a posh look and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, picturesque architecture and technological innovations. The terminal has been constructed at a cost of ₹2,400 crore.

It also boasts passenger-friendly features like self-service kiosks, DigiYatra, automated tray retrieval systems, aerobridges, high-tech baggage screening machines, among others.

T3: Features & Glimpses

Embellished with tokens from Uttar Pradesh's rich culture and arts in the form of audio-visual experiences, the airport also features Chikankari and Mukaish embroidery motifs. Additionally, the terminal is in sync with sustainable efforts and utilises recyclable products.

"T3 will cater to domestic and international flights and will have the capacity to handle 4,000 passengers during peak hours," Lucknow Airport took to X (previously Twitter) to announce. It is being said that it can accommodate about 80 lakh fliers per year, in its first phase.

While Akasa Airlines will shift their flights to T3 from March 31, Vistara and Air India are slated to shift theirs to the new terminal from next month. With this, Akasa will be the pioneer airline of this aviation hub.
