In view of detrimental cold waves, Lucknow schools to conduct online classes till January 27

Enveloping all in a dense layer of fog, with chilly air and dripping mercury, Lucknow's winter has tightened its grip on the local-ites. While the city saw sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday post 10 AM, the early morning and night temperatures have been plummeting to as low as 6.5°C.

In such a scenario, Lucknow's district magistrate has issued an order for all private and government schools. In the interest of students, till January 27, schools will conduct online classes.

Whereas, timings have been revised for the ones insisting on holding physical classes or where the facility of online education is not available. These schools will operate between 10 AM - 3PM with no compulsion of students following the uniform code. In the case, students are free to wear warm layers to protect them from the cold. The DM has also ordered these schools to provide room heaters in classes.
