People coming from Kalyanpur, Tedhi Pulia, Vikas Nagar, Kurmanchal, Saket Vihar, Shyam Nagar, Adil Nagar, Khurram Nagar, etc, and crossing the Jagrani Hospital at Ring Road will now have it easier with the new Khurram Nagar flyover. It will provide ease to all those who travel on this route on a daily basis, and aims to help streamline traffic in major congested routes.

While the flyover was already under construction since February, the new plan will ensure that it crosses the Jagrani Hospital area, to avoid the massive traffic jams here.

What's in it for daily commuters?

Usually, the public sees heavy traffic jams at the Kalyanpur bend. During the nights, too, full sized trucks jam the roads, making smooth movement of automobiles difficult. This is why the flyover eradicating the congestion will be a huge relief for daily commuters.

A four-lane flyover, the construction of which commenced in February this year, it is budgeted at ₹180 crore. Until the modified proposal was made, the flyover was supposed to start from Khurram Nagar and end at Indira Nagar Sector-25. Underpasses will also be constructed at these chaurahas to organise traffic further.

Accessibility of the new flyover

The Khurram Nagar flyover is slated to make life easier for commuters who use the aforementioned areas daily. The fact that, every day, some lakhs of big vehicles make their way through this route is noteworthy.

Reportedly, PWD (NH) has sent the new proposal to the government and a prescribed budget will be allocated on the approval.
